Your Job

Koch-Glitsch is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Site Lead for our manufacturing facility in Wichita, KS. This pivotal role will serve as a key business partner at the facility, focusing on advancing our environmental performance and contributing to our overarching EHS vision. This position is not eligible for VISA Sponsorship.

What You Will Do

  • Actively engage with operations teams to ensure compliance with EHS standards and promote stewardship initiatives.
  • Serve as an expert advisor on EHS matters, working closely with operations teams to understand business activities, assess potential impacts on EHS programs, and ensure alignment with our EHS vision.
  • Continuously develop, enhance, and communicate EHS programs and strategies to maintain high standards.
  • Collaborate effectively to achieve the EHS vision, foster employee ownership, ensure aligned leadership commitment, and implement efficient management systems.
  • Partner with site leaders to incorporate EHS risk management into organizational responsibilities and expectations.
  • Facilitate and manage training sessions on EHS programs and handle program updates effectively.
  • Demonstrate experience in conducting audits, inspections, and investigations, and in developing corrective actions and opportunities for continual improvement.
  • Innovate methods to manage EHS data, enhancing visibility and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) performance.
  • Assist in managing local ISO45001 certification and OSHA Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP)

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience in an EHS role with proven leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple complex issues simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing EHS program policies and procedures.
  • Possess strong economic and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience effectively communicating with all levels of an organization and gaining support for EHS initiatives.
  • Experience training others in EHS programs.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Degree in an EHS related field
  • EHS Experienced within manufacturing or industrial settings and solid entrepreneurial skills.
  • ISO trained or certified.
  • OSHA VPP Experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications
  • Experience with PowerBI, Enablon, and Articulate, Human & Organizational Performance.
