The Auxiliary Operator Trainee is expected to complete qualifications within assigned time frames.Operates mechanical and electrical equipment for which qualification has been completed for the Water Reclamation Facility (WRF). Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or GED.Must pass EEI POSS testing. Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license.Water/Wastewater experience, technical Water/Wastewater program certification or associate degree in Water/Wastewater preferred.ADEQ Level 1 Water and Wastewater certification preferred. Major Accountabilities
1) Completes qualification to operate equipment within assigned time frame. 2) Operates all major and auxiliary plant equipment at Water Reclamation Facility in areas for which qualification is completed. 3) Monitors, reads and records instruments and equipment in areas for which qualification is completed. Notifies WRF Control Operator of any problems. 4) Communicates with the WRF Control Room regarding WRF plant status and conditions on an ongoing basis in areas where qualifications have been completed. 5) Implements station safety tagging and clearance procedures to ensure safe working conditions for personnel and equipment. 6) Maintains awareness and understanding of: plant procedures, government regulations, system operation and design changes. 7) Maintains qualifications per Palo Verde Training continuing training programs when qualifications are complete in one or more areas.
