About the Role

The EHS Coordinator will support continuous safety improvement efforts by assisting in compliance with regulatory requirements and contributing to root cause analysis and corrective action planning. This role will help implement and maintain components of the Watlow Safety Management System, promoting adherence to safety standards across the site. This position will work closely with site leadership, safety teams, and EHS professionals to help foster a strong safety culture and support continuous improvement.

We are seeking someone to be based out of our manufacturing facility in Columbia, Missouri.

Your Key Responsibilities



  • EHS Support: Assist with day-to-day safety activities and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Data Monitoring: Track safety trends and recommend improvements to reduce risk and enhance operations.
  • Incident Response: Support root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for safety incidents.
  • Training & Programs: Help coordinate EHS programs, safety training, and audit preparation.
  • Safety Maintenance: Maintain safety supplies and equipment, and help address ergonomic concerns.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Assist with reporting and documentation for government and regulatory requirements.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with leadership, safety teams, and external partners on safety initiatives.
  • Culture Building: Promote a proactive safety culture through participation in safety committees and initiatives.



Required Qualifications



  • Experience performing work related to environmental health and safety (EHS) in any capacity
  • 1+ years of experienc working in a manufacturing setting



Desired Qualifications



  • Associate degree or higher in Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Science, or a related EH&S field
  • HAZWOPER certification is a plus, demonstrating readiness to safely handle hazardous materials and emergency response situations
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance requirements, and best practices in health and safety
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify safety hazards, ensure compliance, and maintain accurate safety records and reports
  • Conflict resolution skills and the ability to manage challenging situations effectively
