STGi is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide services at our Georgia War Veterans Home. GWVH will be opening a new unit that will be dedicated to the needs related to diagnoses of Veterans with PTSD, TBI, history of behavioral disorders, and substance use issues. JOB SUMMARY:

The general duty of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is to provide residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan and as directed by supervisors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  • Care for residents with mental and psychosocial disorders as well as residents with history of trauma and/or post-traumatic stress disorder and who have been identified in the facility policies.
  • Monitor and evaluate the resident's response to care plan interventions and treatments in accordance with facility policies.
  • Assist residents in accordance to their needs ranging from minimal assistance to total dependent care on activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Check each resident routinely to ensure that his/her personal care needs are being met in accordance with his/her wishes.
  • Perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures as instructed in accordance with the individualized plan of care.

Required Experience

  • Maintain a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with laws in the state of Georgia.
  • Prefer 1+ year of experience as a CNA.
  • Must be competent to provide nursing and nursing related services and has completed a training and competency evaluation program, or a competency evaluation program approved by the State of Georgia.
  • Ability to assess patient condition, recognizes adverse signs and symptoms, and reacts swiftly in emergency situations.
  • Must Possess at a minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.


NOTE:

As part of orientation, selected candidates will receive safety care training.

All shifts for Full-time and Part-time openings.

This position is located at 2249 Vinson Highway SE, Milledgeville, GA.
