Who is Saint Louis University? Founded in 1818, Saint Louis University is one of the nation's oldest and most prestigious Catholic universities. This NIH-funded position focuses on investigating gastrointestinal and hepatic biology. The project will have translational components. Expertise in liver disease models, matrix biology, bioinformatics and immunology are a plus. ThePostdoctoral position is expected to build a strong publication record, present at conferences, and he/she will also supervise undergraduate, graduate and medical students if needed. The project has collaborative aspects and opportunities to learn novel state-of the art technologies.Thepost-doctoral fellow will be expected to apply for internal and/or extramural funding, and to attend conferences to build their international reputation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Highly motivated Ph.D. with an expertise in cell/molecular biology, mechanobiology, immunology or biochemistry.

  • Track record of peer-reviewed publications.

  • Dedication to pursue basic/translational gastrointestinal/hepatic research

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, being able to work independently but in collaboration with team members.
