Job Summary

Under general instruction, the Corporate Relations Manager is responsible for increasing registrations and revenue for the Workforce Center. Builds relationships with clients, partners, and associations to elevate the Center's visibility in the community. Initiates and manages the strategic sales process by prospecting, scheduling meetings, understanding business needs, developing proposals, and closing training opportunities to meet revenue targets and performance metrics for the University's Workforce Center, as defined by the Executive Director. This role requires a marketing-minded approach, blending sales strategy with multi-channel marketing efforts across B2B and B2C environments.

Job Description
  • Initiates and manages the sales cycle in Salesforce by prospecting, scheduling meetings, understanding business needs, developing proposals, and closing training opportunities to drive revenue growth. Includes the development and execution of strategic sales plans, integrated with email marketing campaigns and digital outreach across both B2B and B2C channels.

  • Identifies, develops, and executes account-specific plans by introducing relevant Workforce Center services and solutions, using Account-Based Marketing strategies tailored to client objectives.

  • Meets or exceeds sales metrics and revenue targets established by the Executive Director, while maintaining strong communication and follow-up with clients and prospects to cultivate long-term relationships and repeat business.

  • Collaborates with internal teams to align sales and marketing strategies, optimize client engagement, and support center-wide revenue initiatives.

  • Attends professional events and conferences to network and promote continuing education opportunities in the broader business community.

  • Assists with daily operations and contributes to the overall success of the University's Workforce Center.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication

  • Persuasive interpersonal and presentation skills

  • Ability to negotiate with corporate decision-makers

  • Knowledge of strategic sales methodologies and marketing concepts

  • Familiarity with B2B and B2C marketing concepts and tools and customer engagement

  • Proficiency in account-based sales and CRM platforms like Salesforce

  • Ability to travel locally and work flexible hours

  • Demonstrated success with client relationship management

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; supplemented with four (4) years of related experience, preferably in marketing, sales, or public relations.
