Account Manager/Field Account Manager

Account Manager Responsibilities include:


  • Operates as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to their accounts.
  • Build and maintains a strong, long-lasting customer relationships while developing a trusted advisor role with key buyers and executives.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profits.
  • Develops strategic promotional activity necessary to grow brand sales and cover annual overlaps.
  • Liaison with cross-functional internal teams (including Production, AR, AP, Transportation, Packaging, Product Development and customer Service) on both the company and customer sides.
  • Deliver solutions according to customer needs and objectives in a timely manner.
  • Forecast and track key performance metrics. (e.g. quarterly sales and incentive results and annual forecasts)
  • Prepare and clearly communicate the progress of quarterly / Annual initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within the accounts while keeping the customers satisfied and engaged with our products and services.
  • Communicate with the sales team upcoming promotions and events and their results.
  • Assist with challenging customer requests or issue escalations.
  • Develop, acquire and maintain space and display programs.
  • Assist with customer store resets, new store openings and events.
  • Systems maintenance, new items (adds and deletes), promotions and general pricing in company and customer master files.
  • Develop and present programs at all levels of an organization, including executive and C- level for both the company and the customer.
  • Juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
  • Develop new business within existing customer and/or identify areas of improvement.
