Overview
VTG is looking for multiple Launch Systems Engineers in Los Angeles CA and Colorado Springs, CO. What will you do? In general, the Launch Systems Engineer is a technical/engineering professional who acts as an advisor on Launch Enterprise capabilities including complex and critical facilities, systems and equipment operations, maintenance and future planning. The LSE provides expert scholarly advice, assessments and evaluations on technical approaches, execution, analysis of alternatives and risks. Review, document, and trace functional and interface requirements for all OSL allocated missions and coordinates with external entities when necessary to resolve issues. * Provide project management and technical support in support of OSL System Do you have what it takes? The LSE-I position is an entry level engineering professional who possesses some working knowledge of relevant systems or infrastructure. LSE-I contractors shall possess at least Technical Level I (Tl). Desired experience in critical industrial systems. The LSE-II position is an entry level engineering professional who possesses some working knowledge-of space launch systems and processes. LSE-lI will develop briefings and assessments for a variety of Govemment customers and audiences and must be able to convey information in a clear and articulate manner. LSE-II contractors shall possess at least Technical Level IT (T2) and the following expected qualifications: The Level-III LSE position is an intermediate level engineering professional who possesses proven working knowledge of space launch systems and processes. Level III LSEs will develop briefings and assessment to a variety of audiences and must be able to convey information in a clear and articulate manner to Government leadership. Level III LSEs will be, required to support strategic planning as well as cradle to grave launch and launch support activities. Level III LSE contractors shall possess at least the Technical Level III (T3) plus the following expected qualifications: The Level-IV LSE position is a senior level engineering professional who possesses all the qualifications of a Level-III LSE as well as additional management, communication and technical qualifications. Level IV LSEs will develop briefings and assessment to a variety of audiences and must be able to convey information in a clear and articulate manner to Government leadership. Level IV LSEs-will be required to support strategic planning as well as cradle to grave launch and launch support activities. Level IV LSE contractors shall possess at least the Technical Level N (T4) plus the following expected qualifications: * 10 years space 1aunch experience (Desired: IO years of experience with OSL system capabilities or similar.) * Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with other Government agencies and mission partners * Substantive experience providing risk assessments and risk-management recommendations to program managers in support of successful mission accomplishment Experience delivering effective briefings/presentations/papers on complex topics for audiences that may be large and/or include high-level decision makers * Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing requirements and tasks and managing long tenn tasks as well as short-term obligations * Ability to effectively provide guidance to Level-I, Level-II, and Level-III LSEs Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting pay range is $150,000 - 210,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range |
