Responsibilities

Working for the Business Development and Marketing division, the Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for supporting business growth by conducting in-depth research, analyzing industry trends, providing administrative and operations oversight of the customer relationship management (CRM) system, and supporting aligned marketing and engagement strategies.

This role requires a proactive and strategic thinker who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and contribute effectively to business development and marketing initiatives. This role is ideal for the individual who has already shown progression in their career and is ready to take on more responsibility across the functional areas shown below.

This role would be a hybrid position 1-2 days in office if local to Ashburn, Va. Candidates not local to Ashburn, VA will have some required travel for in-person sessions.

Business Development & Market Research

    Conduct detailed desk research and data analysis to support business development initiatives.
  • Assist with identifying and qualifying market opportunities using market intelligence tools and gate reviews.
  • Assist with competitive analysis, gap analysis, client segmentation, and competitor tracking efforts.
  • Assist in pricing strategy development by gathering and analyzing market and competitor data.
  • Research, identify, and monitor industry trends and relevant news.
  • Conduct primary market research, including stakeholder identification, engagement, surveys, and in-depth interviews.

Client Relationship Management & Engagement

  • Serve as administrator of the company's CRM and pipeline management system.
  • Manage inquiries sent via company website.
  • Support client engagement activities, including customer satisfaction surveys and a referral program.
  • Gather and analyze client feedback to inform future marketing and business development strategies.

Marketing Strategy & Content Development

  • Develop effective marketing strategies, messaging, and tactics to support business development efforts.
  • Create compelling content tailored to business development objectives and audience needs, including blog posts, social media posts, webpages white papers, case studies, and articles.
  • Perform operational aspects of marketing efforts, including digital advertising, social media posting, scheduling, vendor coordination, and SEO tasks.
  • Assist with scheduling, administering, and tracking marketing campaigns and events/conferences.

Performance Tracking & Analytics

  • Track and monitor marketing performance metrics, including engagement, visibility, and client feedback.
  • Analyze marketing data to optimize channel strategies and refine content.
  • Provide recommendations based on marketing performance insights to support business development goals.
  • Assist with implementing and managing analytics tools to track marketing effectiveness.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, business analytics, data analytics, market research, marketing, or journalism is required.
  • Must have 5-7 years of relevant work experience, with demonstrated results.
  • Proficiency in CRM management, ensuring effective tracking, analysis, and optimization of business development activities.
  • Experience in government/construction/architecture/engineering, energy sectors a strong plus.
  • Spanish fluency is a plus (not required).

  • Experience with market intelligence tools, such as GovWin, EzGovOpps, and BidPrime and with CRM systems such as NextStage (company's system), Hubspot, or Microsoft Dynamics Sales.
  • Ability to understand B2B/B2G industry dynamics, market drivers, and key success factors related to professional and technical services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to track and report performance metrics.

Additional Details:

  • Travel Required: anticipated up to no more than 10%.
