Overview

NaphCare is seeking a Shipping Clerk to work within our Pharmacy Department located at our Corporate Office in Birmingham, AL.

As the Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for processing all orders to be shipped to other facilities. This is a critical role in our organization as you will be the last point of contact for all orders being processed correctly and shipped.



Responsibilities

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for the daily shipping activities as assigned by the Pharmacy Procurement Manager. Duties and responsibilities may include and are not limited to:

    Maintain the company stockroom through organizing, cleaning and cataloging shipping related items on a regular basis
  • Process orders including all items for shipment with proper paperwork. Double checks all shipments for accuracy
  • Communication to facilities of shipments being processed for delivery, with manifest and tracking information
  • Must be able to operate shipping manifest printing along with operation of FedEx or other shipping software
  • Keep files of goods shipped by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers
  • Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling
  • Responsible for packing orders with correct packaging materials to prevent damage
  • Trouble shoots shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them
  • Place merchandise in a warehouse or storage facility by packaging, lifting items as necessary, and pallet jacks for large goods
  • Handling boxes up to 70 pounds required.
  • Performing other duties as instructed by supervisor


Qualifications

Experience / Requirements / Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to function as a team player, including interactions with other departments
  • Must be accurate, precise, thorough and give attention to detail
  • Must be able to work efficiently without direct supervision

Physical Capabilities:

Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
