PRN Requirements:

Note: if you already hold a part-time or full-timerole with Mercy the requirementmay not be the same, lets discuss

• Must work 36 hours in a 6-week period
• 1/3 shifts have to be a weekend shift
• Holiday Requirement: 1 winter and 1 summer holiday

About Women's and Children's:

Our Unit consists of Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery and Level II Special Care Nursery. We also get and female GYN patients. Nurses are cross trained to work in all areas

Overview:

Assists in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the operations and patient care of designated areas. Serves as a clinical resource for staff and patients in the department. Functions as a staff nurse in the department as needed. Assumes managerial duties delegated by a manager. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

• Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
• License: current RN license in our state or can be obtained within 90 days
• Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year RN Experience in Women and Baby
• Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or can be obtained within 90 days
  • NOTE: One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe
