We are seeking a Cash Application Supervisor to supervise and direct the daily activities of the Cash Application staff and provide annual performance reviews in addition to regular guidance and mentoring throughout the course of the year. This role will also provide staff training as needed to enhance skills and abilities and maintain department policies and procedures.



Your Impact

    Maintains current knowledge of cash posting functions while maintaining appropriate certifications and credentials.
  • Demonstrates self-direction, problem-solving and a role model for all staff.
  • Supervises the day-to-day work functions of the cash posting staff.
  • Supervises and coordinates the workflow by means of monitoring volumes, reports and data.
  • Utilizes current and appropriate resources to provide up to date information and direction to all staff.
  • Monitors, directs and instructs personnel to achieve adequate productivity.
  • Performs interviews, hiring, orientation, training, counseling, evaluation, in-services and education of cash posting staff in tandem with the Department Manager.
  • Educates, trains and updates staff regarding policies and procedures, expectations and outcomes.
  • Creates and coordinates all training materials
  • Responds to administration/team member inquiries and resolve complex issues.
  • Analyzes and advises Manager of personal and workflow issues and offers suggestions for resolution.
  • Tracks trends in cash posting errors, institutes correction plans to prevent further posting errors.
  • Performs the basic functions of cash posting, balancing and reconciliation.
  • Plans and schedules for staff meetings as needed to educate and motivate staff.
  • Responsible for balancing the daily cash receipts to the bank deposits.
  • Ensures that all money and adjustments are applied to the appropriate account in a timely manner.
  • Ensures that the total payments and adjustments are posted on daily monitor control log and emailed to the appropriate department.
  • Ensures all monies are correctly posted by close of each Day and Month to ensure timely reconciliation of cash.
  • Download daily bank deposits and reconcile them to cash posting on a daily basis, ensuring all cash deposited the prior day is fully posted within the current business day.
  • Monitor volume of unapplied payments on a weekly basis, coordinating with appropriate staff to remediate unrecognized revenue.


Minimum Qualifications

Experience and Education:

  • High School education or equivalent

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Accounting / finance experience
  • Supervision experience
  • Experience with a large customer base and high transaction volume
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
