A Brief Overview

The Platform Architect at Safelite will provide leadership within an agile, fast-moving team developing a high-volume, scalable platform to support overall company operations, aligning with Safelite's growth plans. They are a seasoned professional with expertise and thought leadership in building enterprise grade, end-to-end solutions including Salesforce, mulesoft and microservices. Platform Architect has a deep technical knowledge of the platform and its integrations; they design, lead technical teams and supervise work on large projects and across multiple teams; and accomplish work through direction, delegation, and influence. They help set and maintain standards for the entire organization.

Big-picture thinker, Strategic, Resilient, Self-Starter and in-depth problem solver. Responsible for designing systems for the long-term that stand up to high volumes and won't fail at critical points

What you will do

  • Define architecture of platform and patterns to meet future business needs, define the evolution of platform and capabilities, and provide leadership a point of view on "next" as it relates to technology coding tools, applications, and concepts. Design systems with all the architectural principles, technology evaluation, cloud infrastructure management, data/analytics/AI/ML, microservices and APIs, DevSecOps , Security and Compliance, Performance Optimization, along with Documentation.
  • Provide technical leadership, driving and performing best engineering practices to initiate, plan, and execute critical, large-scale, cross-functional, and company-wide programs
  • Plans and drives forward technical solutions for major strategic initiatives across many or all teams
  • Drive overall project design and estimates that meet both business and technology strategy needs during project scoping phases
  • Collaborates with Global Belron, Product Owner, UX, IT Leadership, and business stakeholders to plan changes to a product for enhancements and new features; demonstrates business knowledge by actively participating and providing relevant suggestions and insight
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and technical leadership to other leads and team members, fostering a culture of learning and innovation within the organization
  • Other duties assigned by management

  • Complies with all policies and standards

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience Required

Experience Qualifications

  • 10+ years IT experience Required

Skills and Abilities

  • Experience in salesforce development, customization, and/or integrations.
  • Experience with continuous delivery tools and devops practices (IaS)
  • Familiarity of cloud based platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
  • Experience as a leader with Agile/Scrum practices and has worked within a product team
  • Certificates needed: Development Lifecycle and Deployment Architect, System Architect, Technical Architect, Salesforce Certified Technical Architect.
  • Evaluation of team tools, processes, and technical decision making
  • Influences adoption of industry trends and leads team in software design and
    patterns
  • Leads architectural design across all enterprise domains of the business
  • Expert in different kind integration methods APIS, Services, ESB and Integration Hubs
  • Expert in messaging frameworks, tools and patterns including MQ, Pub/Sub
