Description Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) at the Saint John's Child and Family Development Center in Santa Monica, CA to provide outpatient mental health services to children and their families in a community mental health setting.Become a part of a multidisciplinary team which provides services at the client's school, home, and the greater community. This is a full-time position that will work 8-hour Day shifts. The Youth Development Project (YDP) is in need of a bilingual (Spanish) school-based therapist who will be responsible for providing mental health services including diagnostic assessments, individual, group, and family psychotherapy to enable clients to reach and maintain optimal levels of functioning.Our population consists of youth who are impacted by a wide range of diagnoses, and so a strong clinical foundation is a must. The therapist on the YDP team will regularly consult with school personnel to serve the clients' needs and will build strong relationships within the school and the greater Santa Monica community. Under the general supervision of the Program Manager, the Licensed Clinical Therapist LCSW/LMFT provides Clinical Therapeutic Services including: bio-psycho-social assessments, mental status examinations, diagnosing using DSM and ICD, therapeutic treatment planning, and psycho-therapy with children, adolescents, adults, parents and families. Services include treatment of clients with DSM mental health diagnoses through various modalities of psycho-therapy including individual, family and /or group therapy as well as case management and outreach services. Therapy is provided utilizing various evidenced based practices. Delivers services at the Center, at schools in homes and in the greater community. Provides clinical supervision to unlicensed staff and interns as needed. On call for clients after hours. Providence caregivers are not simply valued - they're invaluable.
