As an Electrician I, you will be responsible to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair all electrical control issues associated with manufacturing equipment and infrastructure. Additional responsible for a variety of skilled maintenance work to maintain facility, electrical systems, heating systems, plumbing, machine repair, hydraulics and pneumatics. This position assists higher level mechanics in more complex and involved work. Work is subject to final inspection and check. This role is based in Beacon, New York. A day in the life of a Electrician I can look like:
- Commitment to maintenance/engineering role with EHS programs to ensure compliance with federal, state and local standards governing pollution control, safety requirements, and reporting requirements
- Assures compliance to other policies, guidelines and regulations in force and relevant to job scope
- Leads or participates in troubleshooting, designing and implementing engineered controls to improve safety, quality, reliability and efficiency throughout the plant facility and machinery
- Assist in improving effectiveness and efficiency of Preventive and Predictive maintenance
- Maximize machine availability and minimize unplanned disruptions to production schedule.
- Shift contact for Electronic Control related enquires
- Perform de-bugging and/or start up of new and existing equipment
- Provide accurate, up-to-date documentation on all modification work as required
- Perform ongoing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to maintenance department as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulation and electrical code
- Utilize AutoCAD for access to electrical drawings.
Shared accountabilities
- Liaison with inter-company departments to minimize machine downtime and ensure optimized utilization of production machinery and systems.

- Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear; uses hands to finger, handle or touch objects or controls. Duties include data entry 25% of the time.

We are looking for you to have (choose what is applicable)
- High school or equivalency diploma
- Experience in equipment maintenance and power tools.
- Industrial electrical experience in manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience with troubleshooting/repairing 480&220 volt phase 3 control circuits.
- Experience with schematics (electrical blueprints with switches, starters, maps, relays, fused, etc.)
- Experience with manufacturing safety requirements ((lock-out/tag-out, national standards, etc.)
- VFD experience
- Excellent Computer skills (Microsoft Office)
