About the role:

As an eVinci Safety Analysis - CFD Engineer you will work within the eVinci Safety Analysis team and working with the greater eVinciTM Micro Reactor project team, to perform Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) modeling and safety analysis activities for advanced reactor designs and can expected to oversee the following:

You will report to the eVinci Safety Analysis Manager and be located in Pittsburgh (Etna), PA.

This is a hybrid position with 3 days in office. No relocation or sponsorship is available.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for assigned work performed in the safety analysis of microreactor systems consistent with regulatory requirements
  • Perform modeling and analysis of advanced reactor designs using the ANSYS CFD Code. Develop technical documentation and presentations related to these calculations and analyses
  • Work as a team (i.e. system and component design, testing, manufacturing, materials) to solve challenging technical problems to progress theeVinciMicroreactor and other advanced reactor designs
  • Interface and communicate with technical leads and project managers in coordination of activities associated with assigned work scope
  • Apply fundamental engineering principles with experience in thermal hydraulics and applied fluid transport


Qualifications:

  • 8 + years of experience with ANSYS CFD tools.
  • BS Degree in Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • Must have technical writing experience
  • Advanced (MS) degree in heat and mass transfer and numerical thermal analysis helpful.
  • Model or simulation experience with the ANSYS CFD including FLUENT helpful
  • Proficiency in using ANSYS ICEM CFD skill and creating larger, complicated models helpful
