A Brief Overview
The Physician Recruitment Manager is responsible for the full-cycle recruitment of physicians for Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. This role will develop and implement effective sourcing and recruitment strategies to attract top talent, ensuring the hospital's ability to provide exceptional pediatric care. The Physician Recruitment Manager will work closely with department leadership, hiring managers, and other stakeholders to understand staffing needs, manage the recruitment process, and ensure a positive candidate experience. You will develop a high-performing recruiting team to consistently deliver exceptional candidate care, hiring manager satisfaction, and sound and compliant recruitment processes.

The ideal candidate should have prior Physician recruitment leadership experience (including but not limited to Hospital Physicians, Medical Subspecialties, Fellows, etc.) and must be able to travel as needed, to attend industry conferences, meetings, and recruitment functions.

What you will do

  • Serves as a business partner to functional leaders and HR colleagues; fosters a collaborative, results-oriented culture. Ensures cooperation and consistency with programs, processes and best practices.
  • Leads and coaches a team of agile, consultative recruitment professionals to provide top notch hiring manager and candidate care while following all processes and best practices.
  • Partners closely with other Talent Acquisition centers of excellence including recruitment marketing, sourcing, talent acquisition operations, and early careers and diversity to ensure resources are utilized to their full potential.
  • Facilitates proactive collaboration with hiring managers and HR consultants to understand workforce needs and develop recruiting strategies to fill forecasted needs and overcome anticipated challenges.
  • Manages recruitment for all Physicians, including but not limited to Physician leadership roles.
  • Utilizes data, analytics, and reporting to interpret recruiting trends and proactively create solutions to overcome areas of opportunity. Holds team members accountable to data-driven decision making.
  • Focuses on increasing diversity of applicants across assigned client portfolio(s) in partnership with recruiters.
  • Develops and conducts relevant skill training for business partners, staff and clients as needed.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced, high volume environment and be flexible to changing workflow demands.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with CHOP leadership.
  • Oversees related vendor relationships as needed.
  • This role involves travel to various conferences, meetings, and events to facilitate physician recruitment efforts

Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED Required
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Experience Qualifications

  • At least six (6) years recruiting experience Required and
  • At least one (1) year experience recruiting within the healthcare/clinical industry Required
  • prior leadership experience Preferred

Skills and Abilities

  • Analytical ability combined with sound practical judgment (Required proficiency)
  • Strong working knowledge of Workday and other related Talent Acquisition/HR systems (Required proficiency)
  • Strategic thinking and planning skills (Required proficiency)
  • Understanding of recruitment metrics (Required proficiency)
