About Food and Nutrition Education in Communities Food and Nutrition Education in Communities (FNEC) in Cornell University's Division of Nutritional Sciences provides program leadership, develops curricula and staff training, and conducts research to improve nutrition and prevent obesity, with a focus on limited-resource populations. FNEC is committed to providing effective nutrition education programs to the target audience, delivered by staff who are trained in the delivery of high-quality, research and evidence-based curricula. FNEC provides oversight for the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) delivered through Cornell Cooperative Extension associations across New York State. The Opportunity Under limited supervision and in a team-oriented environment, the Administrative Assistant III will primarily be responsible for coordination of schedules (Calendar coordination), including extensive travel, developing intra-office communication protocols, streamlining administrative procedures, and last-minute task delegation of faculty requests. The Administrative Assistant III will serve as the first point of contact for email inquiries by independently answering correspondence and will provide general administrative, organizational, and technical support to faculty, whose duties including teaching, research, and extension. This position will support travel planning, including coordination of schedules, itinerary and reimbursement support. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
