Key Responsibilities:
Program Control Analysts support financial and administrative operations across government contracts. They play a critical role in maintaining fiscal integrity and helping programs remain on budget and on schedule. Duties may include:
- Develop, manage, and monitor program budgets, forecasts, and spend plans to ensure alignment with contract and task order requirements
- Track funding obligations, expenditures, and burn rates; proactively identify variances and recommend corrective actions
- Prepare detailed financial reports and briefings for internal leadership and government stakeholders
- Collaborate with program managers, contract managers, accounting, and technical leads to deliver accurate and timely financial data
- Contribute to cost proposals, basis of estimates (BOEs), and pricing strategy development
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, FAR/DFARS, and other government financial regulations
- Assist with invoice review and subcontractor financial oversight as needed
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience: 4-8 years of experience in program control, financial analysis, or related government contracting support
- Preferred Tools & Skills:
- Very proficient in Microsoft Excel, including use of advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Experience with IBM Cognos reporting tools is highly desirable
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project for schedule tracking and integration with cost data
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail
- Knowledge of various contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF) and DoD funding mechanisms
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet critical deadlines as needed
