Job Summary and Purpose:

Location: Field based - ideally located in the Midwest-Iowa, Dakotas, MN, Nebraska

Ceva Animal Health is seeking a dynamic and strategic professional to join our Swine Business Unit as a Strategic Accounts Manager. This role will be responsible for building and managing key relationships with top-tier swine production systems, influencers, and channel partners to drive business growth and long-term partnership opportunities. The ideal candidate is commercially savvy, customer-centric, and passionate about advancing animal health solutions that make a difference.

Responsibilities and Key Duties:

Strategic Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned strategic accounts within the swine industry.
  • Build trust and long-term relationships with key stakeholders including veterinarians, production managers, procurement teams, and influencers.

Account Planning & Execution:

  • Develop and implement customized account plans aligned with Ceva's swine business strategy.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Collaborate with marketing, technical services, and sales teams to deliver tailored solutions.

Market Insights & Influence:

  • Maintain deep knowledge of swine production trends, challenges, and innovations.
  • Monitor competitor activity and share insights to shape Ceva's strategic approach.
  • Represent Ceva at industry meetings, conferences, and trade events.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner closely with Technical Services, Marketing, Regulatory, and Supply Chain to ensure account needs are met.
  • Act as a liaison between the customer and internal Ceva teams to ensure seamless execution.

Sales Performance:

  • Achieve or exceed sales targets, market share objectives, and key performance indicators.
  • Effectively manage pricing, contracts, and forecasting for assigned accounts.

Technical / Functional Competencies:

* Proven success in strategic account management or B2B sales roles.

* Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

* Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to navigate complex customer environments.

* Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office suite.

* Willingness to travel regularly within assigned region and occasionally nationally.

Qualifications:

Education - Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Agribusiness, Veterinary Medicine, or related field; advanced degree (DVM, MBA) preferred.

Work Experience - 5+ years of experience in the animal health, livestock production, or agri-business industry, with a strong preference for swine-specific experience.

Physical Requirements:

Willingness to travel regularly within assigned region and occasionally nationally.

Working Conditions:

This is a field-based position requiring frequent travel (50-70%) to customer sites, production facilities, trade events, and internal meetings.

Work is conducted in a mix of environments, including:

  • Office or home office for planning, virtual meetings, and reporting.
  • Swine production facilities, which may involve exposure to animal environments, odors, dust, noise, and biosecurity protocols.

* Must be able to adhere to on-farm biosecurity requirements and safety guidelines.

* May require occasional work outside of standard business hours to accommodate customer schedules or travel.

* Must be able to lift and carry materials (up to 30 lbs) occasionally, such as samples, promotional materials, or equipment.

* Valid driver's license and the ability to operate a vehicle for business travel are required.

Travel Required:

Approximately 50-70%
