POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Associate Commercial Banking Officer is a position for an officer with limited sales experience to be able to develop the necessary skills for calling on business banking clients for depository, lending, and fee-based opportunities in the Bank's market. This position will have C&I, Commercial Real Estate and Depository production and growth goals, but at a lower expectation level than a more seasoned officer. Position will also have responsibility to manage an existing portfolio of client relationships with the intent that the associate could take over some portfolio from an existing Commercial Banking Officer. Through credit training, sales training, and mentoring, this position will grow the necessary experience and knowledge to become a more effective relationship manager for commercial banking clients. Targeted clients will be small to medium sized operating companies with $1 million to $10 million in annual revenue.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
*Minimum of 3 years banking experience with at least 1 year of business lending experience (processing or loan production support) or having completed Republic Bank's Banking Officer Training program, required.
*Demonstrates proficient general knowledge of business loans involving commercial real estate, accounts receivable, inventory, and equipment required.
*General knowledge of working capital lines of credit and letters of credit required.
*General knowledge of Small Business Administration loans is preferred.
*Must be Proficient in Microsoft Office products and internet applications.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
*Complete required credit analysis and underwriting training.
*Manage all functions of an existing client portfolio to include customer contact, loan renewals, annual reviews, and covenant tracking.
*Primarily focused on new business development by sourcing, developing, and documenting calls on prospective customers and referral sources.
*Negotiate and structure new loan terms and manage renewal opportunities.
*Work closely with Treasury Management to identify and structure depository opportunities.
*Management of portfolio delinquencies within assigned and/or developed portfolio.
*Work closely with associates with Merchant Services and Credit Card to develop opportunities.
*Be involved in the community through volunteerism on civic and non-profit boards.
*Support the collection of past due loans.
*Obtain annual financial statements for commercial credit analyst's evaluation.
*Respond to referrals from Senior Management of the Bank, and the company and others.
*Maintain and enhance the relationships with the Bank's customers and referral sources.
*Responsible for cross selling all company products and services.
*Learn the credit culture of Republic Bank in order to present appropriate credits for approval.
*Maintain a working knowledge of compliance requirements affecting your position and area of responsibilities and actively learn new regulations and assist in the implementation, if required.
*Model and foster behaviors that support the Bank's values and corporate culture creating an atmosphere of trust, cooperation, accountability, and dedication to the organization.
*Willingly perform all other duties and projects as assigned.
