Position Summary

The S&OP Demand Planner develops a sales and operation plan for FN America products including calculating optimal safety stocks to satisfy customer demand while managing inventory levels to corporate targets. Support all facets of Supply Chain as related to Sales and Operations planning, product launches and inventory management.

Job Duties

  • Establishes future production/supply plans by reconciling and balancing sales demand forecasts with supply plans and inventory levels to maintain adequate stock of stocked items.
  • Utilizes statistical models and techniques, such as regression analysis and time series analysis, to analyze historical sales data, market trends, and seasonality patterns to develop accurate demand forecasts.
  • Works closely with sales, marketing, and finance teams to combine baseline statistical forecasts with business insights.
  • Manages forecast data for ERP sales order for make to stock items.
  • Collaborates with sales, production, procurement, and finance teams to ensure a clear understanding of demand requirements and adjustment.
  • Prepares forecast files and formats for related sales and operations planning reviews.
  • Ensures target inventory stock levels for components and finished goods for products based on input from business, segment leaders, historical data and future projections.
  • Generates reports to analyze and validate the integrity of S&OP data and its related demand output such as forecast, distribution sales orders and direct-to customer order to support the entire S&OP process.
  • Completes continuous improvement projects to streamline supply chain processes, such as plan for every part.
  • Support logistics projects as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related field is required.

Experience Requirements

A minimum of three years of experience in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), demand planning, inventory control, or supply chain management is required, with at least one year specifically in S&OP. Green Belt or related lean experience is preferred.

Skills and Competencies

All FN America employees are expected to demonstrate accountability, collaboration, communication, customer focus, and innovation. Additional requirements of this position include:

  • Proficient in performing statistical analysis activities.
  • Good writing, verbal, and math skills.
  • Basic understanding of Material Resource Planning (MRP) in ERP software preferred.
  • Experience with data analysis and extraction from ERP software.
  • Proficiency in Excel with demonstrated skill in Pivot tables, v-lookups, and basic formulas.

Working Conditions

Office setting within a manufacturing environment. Occasions may arise that the Demand Planner be exposed to loud machinery. Must be able to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds unassisted.
