Providing operational support and life-cycle engineering of the security systems that are securing toll-free contact center services for a Verizon customer. You will be performing the following responsibilities:
Maintain and manage the customer's border security systems, Panorama centralized management system and Palo Alto firewalls at multiple data centers. Maintain and manage a minimum of six (6) 3250 Palo Alto Firewalls with (HA) high availability for failover capabilities. Configure SNMP traps/syslog server for monitoring network traffic and security incidents and perform analysis. Maintain and manage firewall rules/access control list to allow or deny traffic through the customer network. Upgrade Palo Alto Firewalls as needed and install updates upon release. Remediate all vulnerabilities identified by Verizon security scan team in accordance with established SLAs. Configure vulnerability alert/SNMP traps for Verizon SOC to monitor security incidents. Provide coverage for any firewall-related network or connectivity issues.
You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience. Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience. Strong working experience with Palo Alto firewall configuration and management, and with the Panorama management system. Experience with systems security management and security vulnerability remediation. Experience with security incident forensic investigation. Be able to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust security clearance.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Palo Alto professional certification. Security management professional certification (CISSP, Security+, or equivalent).
