Position Description

The Quality Control Technician I perform assays on products to ensure product quality standards are met.

Job performance will involve a variety of activities including:

- Independently perform assays and evaluate results for product qualification

- Adhere to quality control work instructions

- Maintain complete, contemporaneous and accurate records of all work performed

- Manage reagents and inventory used for QC testing

- Participate in continuous process improvement activities

- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced quality control process

- Must be comfortable working with radioactivity

- Develop, revise and review SOPs, qualification/validation protocols and reports.

- Perform additional job duties as assigned


Position Requirements

- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Biology or Biochemistry

- Up to 2 years' experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

- Background in Molecular Biology applications

- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point and other applications.

- Ability to learn and acquire new molecular biology skills to perform complex assay testing

- Understand the quality control process to meet ISO compliance standards

- Increase ability to troubleshoot assays and procedures

- Provide constructive feedback on QC improvements

- Self-directed with minimal management assistance.

- Able to organize and prioritize a diverse set of responsibilities to ensure that focus on growth and success of company is achieved
