Offering a rigorous JD program with the flexibility of online learning, St. Francis School of Law is accredited by the Committee of Bar Examiners of the State Bar of California, preparing students for success in the legal field.

The Evidence courses cover both the Federal Rules of Evidence, and the California Evidence Code, highlighting differences between the federal evidentiary rules and California evidence law. Topics include relevance, hearsay and the many exceptions to the hearsay rule, the Confrontation Clause and character evidence. The course includes an examination of trial mechanics, competence, impeachment, privileges, expert and lay opinions, burdens, presumptions, and physical evidence.

The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a law school approved by the American Bar Association (ABA), accredited by the Committee of Bar Examiners of the State Bar of California, or registered with the Committee of Bar Examiners of the State Bar of California. Admission to at least one U.S. jurisdiction is required, though an active license is not mandatory, provided there has been no disbarment or suspension resulting from formal disciplinary action. Also required is substantial professional work experience in civil litigation and criminal law. Preferred qualifications include prior experience teaching evidence or trial advocacy at a law school and expertise in delivering instruction in an online format.

California Pay Transparency requires a pay range for all postings. The pay range for St. Francis School of Law adjunct faculty is $1,500 to $4,000 per course.
