This highly visible position located at our Victorville, CA Facility. What you'll do: ROLE SUMMARY: This position will be responsible for safety, quality and productivity of all equipment on a high-speed manufacturing line including unscrambler, filler, case former, case sealer, case packer. You will be responsible for performing receipt of all raw materials necessary to maintain support of manufacturing production lines. Perform and assist with machine startup/shutdown operations of all equipment in production areas including filler, Douglas case wrap, case sealer, Hartness case packer, and palletizer/stretch wrapper. Assist with general operations in various areas as needed throughout the daily production schedules. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (*denotes essential job functions): 1. Assist with operational set up/shut down and maintenance of packing line equipment. * 2. Operate, clear jams and restart equipment such as sealer, case former, case wrapper, palletizer and Hartness. * 3. Hand stack cases of finished goods onto pallets as required. * 4. Identify alarms on various equipment to appropriately and safely clear jam to restart packaging line * 5. Apply and understand proper lock out/tag out procedures for each piece of equipment assigned to operate * 6. Load bottles directly on the conveyor as well as train and lead temporary workforce to load bottles * 7. Load cat cartons on to magazine * 8. Load bundles of corrugate into case former and case wrapper executing safe lifting techniques * 9. Inspect finished product for defects at various points on the packing line * 10. Fill out quality forms, used in production * 11. Perform housekeeping duties to keep work area clean and neat 12. Cross-Train for other production positions to become qualified to fill-in for short and long-term absences 13. Load corrugate and bottles into the baler and train temporary workforce to safely operate baler * 14. Perform operational set-up, blow back and removal of fragrance totes * 15. Operate Advance CS7000 floor scrubber * 16. Create hand add pallets for LLD batching executing safe lifting techniques * 17. Perform other duties as required. 18. Understand and participate in all lean manufacturing programs. 19. Apply and understand the Autonomous Maintenance Programs (CIL, Center-lining, and defect handling). MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent PREFERED EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 1. Minimum of 6 months experience in an industrial environment using and operating commonly used industrial equipment. 2. Prior experience working in an industrial environment requiring application of basic industrial skills such as special and temporal awareness, mechanical aptitude and process understanding. 3. Certification or training in relevant manufacturing processes and equipment operation. 4. Previous experience participating in Kaizen events and other continuous improvement activities. 5. Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in a manufacturing environment. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: 6. Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization. 7. Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate clearly and concisely in multiple media such as verbal, written, etc. 8. Ability to operate machinery with great attention to detail. 9. Excellent critical thinking skills - ability to troubleshoot small unforeseen issues. 10. Ability to be cross trained across numerous job functions. 11. Ability to take and follow directions. 12. Clicks: Proficiency in using digital tools and software for monitoring and managing production operations. 15. 6S: Understanding and application of the 6S methodology (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety) to maintain an organized and efficient workspace. 16. 9, 1, 5 Forms: Competence in completing and understanding various forms used in the manufacturing process to ensure proper documentation and compliance. 17. Understand Boards: Ability to read, interpret, and utilize visual management boards for tracking production metrics and performance. 18. Participates in Kaizen Events: Active involvement in Kaizen events aimed at continuous improvement, problem-solving, and process optimization. 19. Autonomous Maintenance: Capability to perform basic maintenance tasks independently to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition. Operation Skills: 20. Pace / Depal: Operate pace and depalletizing equipment efficiently to ensure smooth material flow in the production process. 21. Case Erectors: Skillful operation of case erector machines to assemble packaging materials accurately and quickly. 22. Labelers: Proficient in operating labeling machines to ensure proper labeling of products. 23. Power Industrial Lift: Ability to operate power industrial lifts safely to move materials and products within the facility. Setup Skills: 24. Pace / Depal: Set up pace and depalletizing equipment for various production runs, ensuring accurate configurations and adjustments. 25. Case Erectors: Configure and set up case erector machines for different packaging requirements, ensuring correct settings and alignment.
