About this Opportunity:

We have an opportunity for an experienced Vice President - Investments to join a Regency Centers office in either Jacksonville, FL, Tampa, FL or Boca Raton, FL. This individual will be responsible for origination and execution of new development and redevelopment projects.

What You'll Be Doing:



  • Provide strong leadership within the Florida development team
  • Execute the development of new retail centers in multiple markets throughout Florida, including:

    • Identifying and originating new investments that provide risk-adjusted returns;
    • Evaluating new development opportunities and structure investments to maximize upside and minimize downside risks;
    • Leading the negotiation of terms with property owners, anchor retailers and community stakeholders as well as the negotiation of related legal documents;
    • Leading investments through Real Estate Committee (REC) approval by preparing REC packages that are clear, complete, and thoughtful in content, and effectively presented, and;
    • Managing the totality of the design and development process, including entitlements.


  • Work collaboratively with Regency's in-house professional to oversee development leasing, budget and schedule to ensure on-budget and on-time completion, including:

    • Senior/Regional Market Officer and leasing professionals;
    • Senior Construction Managers and Tenant Coordinators, and;
    • Finance team


  • Lead and manage the strategic repositioning of existing assets.
  • Foster and maintain important working relationships with key market players to include retailers, landowners, brokers and service providers.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of national and local retail and real estate market dynamics.


Are You Qualified?



  • Undergraduate degree in real estate, finance or related discipline required, and a master's degree in business or real estate development is preferred.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience originating and executing the development of retail centers, preferably in Florida
  • Proven capability that spans the development cycle from project inception to stabilized occupancy.
  • Proven understanding of lease and development related legal documents
  • Demonstrated experience in leasing anchor space.
  • Proficiency with current Microsoft Office software
  • Strong knowledge of the commercial real estate and retail industries
  • Advanced quantitative and financial analysis skills
  • Extensive relationships within the industry and deep local market knowledge
  • Ability to travel extensively
