Rockville, MD Pay From: $20 per hour MUST: Experienced Medical Assistant 1 plus years of experience as a Medical Assistant Must have current hands-on clinical experience Must have experience working on EMR; Knowledge of Athena preferred Must have experience taking patient vitals Must have experience reviewing patients labs Must have phone triaging experience Must have strong verbal and written communication skills GYN experience required DUTIES: Medical Assistant will be responsible for, but not limited to the following: Assists the providers in providing medical care to patients Preparing the patient for the medical examination Prepping EMR chart for providers Performing screening activities appropriate to patients Performing assigned clinical tasks and/or procedures Cleaning/Autoclave duties assigned. Assisting with scheduling follow-up appointments and procedures as recommended by the provider Performs clinical tasks and/or procedures appropriate to targeted patient Immediately notifies physician or other licensed health care provider of patients observed to be in distress. Documents all care given and actions taken for patient Facilitates smooth and efficient operation of the clinical department by monitoring the flow of patients and intervening as appropriate to minimize wait times and promote a positive experience for the patient. Assists with inventory and requisition of required supplies; keeps exam and procedure rooms adequately stocked at all times.
