The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Data Lake Applications Developer to join our growing data team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain data pipelines that transform raw data into valuable business insights. The ideal candidate has solid experience with data infrastructure and ETL processes and is ready to take on more complex challenges.

What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for batch and real-time processing

  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and implement appropriate solutions

  • Optimize data flow and collection for cross-functional projects

  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and consistency across databases and data warehouses

  • Implement and maintain data security measures and compliance standards

  • Create and maintain documentation for data systems and processes

  • Troubleshoot and resolve data issues and pipeline failures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in data engineering or related field
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python
  • Experience with ETL tools and frameworks
  • Familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing, and data lake concepts
  • Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
  • Understanding of data governance and data quality principles

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Data Engineer or Cloud Architect certifications
  • Experience using Purview for data quality monitoring
  • Experience with NoSQL and/or graph databases
  • Proficient with data visualization tools such as PowerBI
  • CI/CD experience for data pipelines
