Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, psychology, addictions studies, social work or related field with specialty or concentration in counseling is required.
  • At least one year experience in a health or human service agency, preferably in a drug and alcohol setting required.
  • Licensure or certification will need to be achieved within two to three (2 - 3) years of hire, depending on requirements is required.
  • Actively working towards a credential through PCB (i.e., CAAC, CADC, CAADC, CCS), or be actively working toward licensure or certification is preferred.

Position Details

The Drug and Alcohol Counselor will provide individual and group therapy to clients in substance abuse recovery, helping them overcome challenges, build resilience, and achieve lasting sobriety through tailored interventions. You will maintain a manageable caseload, conducting assessments, creating personalized treatment plans, and ensuring clients receive the support and resources needed to sustain their recovery goals.
