Job Title: Trade/ Import-Export Compliance Specialist

Duration: 6 Months +

Shift Hours: 8-5 pm

Required:

  • Bachelor Degree.
  • Familiarity with Import/export compliances.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Programs.
  • Knowledge of Lean enterprise principles.


Summary:

  • Responsible for the Services and Support Operations (SSO) division's import and/or export programs.
  • Understand the compliance obligations that Parker and the division have and works to implement processes that support the corporation's compliance goals.
  • Support the division's cargo security program. Provides training to division personnel on compliance rules and regulations. Principle contact for brokerage and freight forwarder issues in the division.


Scope/Supervision and Interaction

  • Position will report to the Military Proposals and Contracts Leader. Work with engineering, customer service, contracts administration, suppliers, I/T, Corporate Transportation and Logistics team, Corporate Compliance team and other appropriate resources to ensure the division maintains a trade compliant status. This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.


Essential Functions:

  • Maintains division's import and export manuals, and conducts regular audits.
  • Maintains the division's item master for HTS, COO, and License status.
  • Works with Engineering and/or procurement on new product compliance coding.
  • Ensures import and export records are filed according to US and Parker rules.
  • Provides FTA data to customers as required.
  • Assists with Government Licensing applications as necessary.
  • Responsible for the proper exporting of the division's products.
  • Ensures compliance to industry regulations and protocols such as CTPAT, ITAR, and EAR.


Required Experience:

  • 3 Years' Experience and/or exposure to trade compliance in the forwarding industry, brokerage or other transportation entities.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Programs.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
  • Understanding of lean enterprise principles and practices.


Education:

  • Bachelor Degree.
