The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The School of Nursing is looking to hire a Student Research Worker (VHO) to work with the ENGAGE Study. The incumbent will work closely with the Project Manager and Research Coordinator to assist in annotating clinical notes and conducting interviews with participants. This position will be renewed annually and will be contingent upon availability of grant funds.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include:



  • Assist with research study tasks, including participant scheduling, and preparation of study materials
  • Assist with analysis of clinical notes, as well as participant enrollment and interviews, and data entry as needed.
  • Attend staff and study team meetings.
  • Communicate clearly and routinely with Research Manager.
  • Assist with other research study tasks as needed.
  • Position may require occasional evening and weekend hours.


Potentially 2-3 days/week for 1 year.

This is a grant funded position. Continued employment is based on availability of funding.

Minimum Qualifications



  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus two years of related experience, or equivalent in education, training and experience.
  • Computer fluency with Microsoft Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Must be a highly motivated, self-starter.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree:

    • With a major in nursing, or related field.
    • Experience or interest in working with vulnerable populations.
