Skills and Qualifications: * Experience: * At least 5 years of professional experience in software development. * Proficiency in programming languages like Java or Python. * Experience in designing and architecting new systems. * Leadership: * Experience in leading a team or mentoring other engineers. * Technical Knowledge: * Understanding of the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations. * Education: * A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred. Description of work to be performed: Key Responsibilities: * Building High-Performance Software: * Develop software that can handle large amounts of data and traffic efficiently. * Focus on creating software with excellent architecture, data processing capabilities, and security features. * Bot Detection and Security: * Work on new projects aimed at detecting and blocking bots (automated programs that can cause harm). * Innovate to enhance Amazon's security measures. * Engineering Excellence: * Write high-quality, maintainable, and secure code. * Improve the performance and reliability of the software with every update. * Team Collaboration: * Work closely with other engineers to design and build new systems. * Mentor and lead other team members, sharing knowledge and best practices. Specified productivity speed/number of tasks/amount of material: Software Development Engineer (SDE) team is responsible for creating and maintaining the software that directs all web traffic from the public internet to various websites. This software ensures that the traffic is managed efficiently, blocks harmful bots and security threats, and helps launch new websites and services quickly and safely. Time frame for completion: 11 months *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $95.00 - $95.00/hr.
