With a strong commitment to community and customer satisfaction, our client has built a reputation for excellence in the mortgage industry. *Job Title:* Loan Processing Assistant *Location:* Bellevue, Washington *Workplace Type:* Hybrid (Preferred on-site, flexible for 1-2 days remote) *Schedule:* Monday to Friday, 8:30-9am to 5pm (depending on lunch break) *Pay:* $22-25.46/hr *Contract Duration:* 4 months with potential to convert to permanent *Start Date: 5/19* *Job Description:* The Loan Processing Assistant plays an important role in the organization by performing a number of activities related to the company's Regional Operations functions. This role is primarily responsible for assisting the Loan Processors by reviewing files, ordering supporting documents, and other tasks to help the processors prepare mortgage loans for underwriting and closing within company and industry guidelines. No travel required. *Key Responsibilities:* * Request and review file documentation, including income/employment verifications, bank statements, and property valuations; open escrow and title. * Review all documentation received for completeness and ensure appropriate data is entered in the company's origination system. * Communicate with loan processor regarding documentation needed to process the loan and maintain effective follow-up to ensure receipt of needed documents. * Assist loan processor to gather information to clear underwriting conditions and resolve investor stipulations. * Communicate directly with loan officer, loan processor, closer, title companies, and insurance companies to ensure timely loan closures. * Maintain complete and accurate information within the Loan Processing System while managing a high volume of loans. * Perform other duties as assigned. *Qualifications:* * High School diploma or equivalent required; some related college courses or degree desired. * 1-2 years of experience preferred. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Effective time and resource management. * Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously. * Motivated self-starter with problem-solving skills. * Knowledge of mortgage lending policies, procedures, and regulations is a plus. *Work Environment:* * Office environment with no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions. * Primarily sedentary work with mobility in an office setting.
