Modern Technology Solutions Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a highly organized and strategic individual to fill the role of Commander's Action Group (CAG) Chief to support the Commander, 2STS located in El Segundo, CA.

Responsibilities

As a CAG Chief with MTSI, you will provide support to the Commander, 2STS.The CAG Chief will play a pivotal role in the operation of the front office, ensuring taskers from external organizations are properly responded to in a timely manner. They will work closely with other front office personnel including the Chief of Staff to ensure a smooth-running and efficient operation that supports the Commander, other squadron personnel, and key external stakeholders.

Your essential job functions will include, but may not be limited to:

  • Acting as the single point within the squadron to receive, coordinate, disseminate, track, and close all taskers coming to the workflow inbox.
  • Skillfully evaluating each tasker, recommending negative responses when appropriate and/or working with the tasking organization to better focus vague tasks that have the potential to consume excessive amounts of squadron personnel time.
  • Maintaining a library of tasker responses, using information within it to build initial responses that squadron personnel can use as a starting point rather than beginning all new tasker responses from scratch.
  • Reviewing work products for completeness, correctness, proper formatting, and consistent, professional appearance.
  • Staffing work products through the squadron commander or delegates.
  • Establishing and optimizing business lines within the squadron to maximize throughput and efficiency of the lean team.
  • Planning, coordinating, and managing strategic communications in alignment with the commander's policies and guidance.
  • Assisting with the writing of speeches, presentations, and other public-facing material.
  • Developing, planning, coordinating, and assisting the commander and other senior leadership to execute various scheduled events such as commander's calls, all-hands, and military ceremonies (promotions, retirements, etc.).

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience supporting Senior Executives, Squadron Commanders, or equivalent.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Teams, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter, able to take initiative and accomplish work independently with minimal guidance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Work experience supporting Group Commanders, Wing Commanders, or Higher Headquarters staffs.
  • Knowledge of the Space Systems Command (SSC) and Space Operations Command (SpOC) organizational structure, mission delineations, and chains of command.
  • Experience with the Tasker Management Tool (TMT) and MAR Reporting Software is strongly desired.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.

Certifications Requirements:

  • PMP or APDP PM certification, Desired.

Security Clearance Level Required:

  • Active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance is required for this position.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.

The pay range for this position in California is $150,000/year to $190,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
