The University of Missouri and the Sumner Metabolomics Research lab, Bond Life Sciences Center Job Description
The University of Missouri and the Sumner Metabolomics Research lab seek a Post Doctoral Fellow Researcher with experience in metabolomics analyses of plants and natural products. The ideal candidate will have substantial hands-on, operational knowledge of both GC-MS and UHPLC-MS/MS instrumental analyses and data processing. The successful candidate will focus on data generation and metabolomics analyses of various American Elderberry cultivars and assessment of the metabolic diversity there within. The candidate will also evaluate metabolic/natural product diversity in a large G x E study of American Elderberry. Finally, the candidate will analyze a series a mammalian fluids/tissue obtain associated with a study looking at the influence of Elderberry extracts on brain function. Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a PhD in a related science (chemistry, biochemistry, plant science) and 3 years of post baccalaureate hands-on experience with mass spectrometry based plant metabolomics and natural products analyses. Candidates will be evaluated on:
