The Opportunity

As a Business Analyst, you will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, Data & Digital Innovation team and Information Systems. You will lead cross-functional efforts to analyze, document, and improve business processes while ensuring alignment with TC Energy's strategic goals. You'll use your strong facilitation, analytical, and project management skills to drive meaningful change and support digital innovation initiatives.

What you'll do

  • Partner with stakeholders to gather and define business requirements related to safety, pipeline operations, construction projects, engineering / integrity programs, compliance, and commercial systems.
  • Lead workshops and stakeholder sessions using proven facilitation techniques to uncover current challenges and define future state processes.
  • Conduct in-depth process analysis to identify inefficiencies and recommend data-driven improvements that enhance performance and reliability.
  • Translate business needs into actionable system requirements and work with developers, architects, and QA teams to implement effective solutions.
  • Lead or contribute to project delivery through planning, coordination, risk management, and reporting.
  • Monitor business performance metrics and contribute to KPI development to measure improvement outcomes.
  • Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities forAI-driven automation,predictive analytics, anddata enrichment.
  • Work with data science teams to ensure business requirements are reflected in AI model development and deployment.
  • Support digital initiatives involving SCADA, GIS, commercial operations, pipe integrity, and enterprise reporting systems.
  • Ensure system solutions meet regulatory requirements and internal standards (privacy, cyber, PHMSA, FERC, CER, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of Business Analysis experience, including 3+ years in theenergyindustry.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders.
  • Experience withpipeline systems, SCADA, and regulatory environments.
  • Strong knowledge ofprocess modeling,data analytics, andcontinuous improvement methodologies(Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience infacilitation,requirementsgathering, and stakeholder engagement across business and technical teams.
  • Strong project management skills and experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models.
  • Proficiency with business analysis and visualization tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with the Decision Quality (DQ) process to facilitate making informed and structured decisions that lead to positive outcomes.
  • AWS and/or Microsoft Certifications (e.g., AWS Cloud/AI Practitioner, Microsoft Power Platform Developer Associate).
  • Experience working in theenergy, oil & gas, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks in the energy industry.
