Job Description

Job Objective: The Junior Account Manager (JAM) is an entry-level sales position. The JAM will support Territory Sales Mangers (TSM) in the Gulf Coast to prepare the JAM for a future TSM role. This partnership will enable the JAM and the TSMs to accomplish more sales by increasing customer touch, project walks, and proposal generation. It is imperative that this position is filled with someone with strong computer and communication skills. This will have an immediate impact on revenue as this will relieve some of the administration burden currently on the TSMs and allow for more customer facing time



Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Job walks - The TSMs will prepare the JAM to accomplish site objectives which could include pulling samples, inspecting equipment, interacting with customers, completing sales surveys, etc.
  • Initiate sales proposal (templates) and pricing Using sales tools currently in place.
  • IIR Data - JAM will be trained to identify opportunities in IIR and prioritize them by timing, close probability, value, and market segment.
  • CRM - Provide updates and create opportunities in Sales
  • Large projects & Formosa - support the management and communication of project scope changes, scope additions, and Keep accurate daily documentation of billing (spreadsheet). Sit in for the TSMs as needed for onsite commercial and safety meetings.
  • Responsible for preparing project summary reports, daily customer cost summary, and project change order acknowledgement forms.


  • Customer communication and cold calls - As directed by the TSMs, communicate directly with customers to support accurate proposal generations. Cold call identified IIR targets to gather information and set up



Travel

  • As required, to successfully execute above-listed responsibilities (>25%). Overnight travel is possible, but we anticipate mostly 'day trips'.



Job Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor degree in business, marketing or engineering
  • Excellent spoken and written skills
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Industrial service experience preferred but not mandatory
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 to 2 years of sales experience preferably in reliability services, tribology, machinery lubrication, oil analysis interpretation
  • Proven ability to relate and communicate well to stakeholders at all levels, whether field technicians or executive leadership
  • Valid driver's license required



Physical Requirements:

  • Vision: minimum vision required to prevent injury from oneself and others
  • Hearing: perceiving the nature of sounds with or without correction
  • Talking: expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word
  • Lifting small, weighed objects constantly; 20-pound objects frequently and 25-50-pound objects occasionally
  • Climbing ladders, stairs and ramps
  • Balancing, pushing and pulling
  • Crouching, kneeling, reaching and grasping objects
  • Walking: move about inside the office and/or branch facilities as well as airport/travel needs
  • Sit/Stand: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50 percent of the time
  • Capable of traveling as required



Attendance Requirements: Attendance on a regular, consistent basis is mandatory.
