Job Description/Essential Functions: |
Bevilacqua Research Corporation (BRC) is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Small Business based in Huntsville, Alabama incorporated in 1992. BRC provides "best-value" technical and management solutions to a diverse government and commercial customer base in the following key business areas: test & evaluation, systems analysis & integration, security & intelligence, and R&D. As a Propulsion Systems Structural Analyst, your will provide insight in the development, test, and certification of propulsion systems for NASA's liquid engine rocket fleet. You will become part of a multi-discipline team with the charter to establish flight rationale for America's next generation of manned launch vehicles. Responsibilities:
- Engaging with engineering and product development teams to provide structural and dynamic insight in propulsion systems, as well as producing independent analytical assessments.
- Provide technical oversight in the design and evaluation of liquid rocket engine elements with particular emphasis on structural/dynamic response of turbomachinery components, as well as processing and interpretation of test data, and utilization of simulation software.
- Develop and deliver reports and presentations, as well as collaborate with vendors and personnel from other NASA centers in the development of integrated flight hardware and related test equipment.

Minimum Requirements: |
Minimum Qualifications: A BS degree (MS preferred) in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics or related field with an emphasis on structural/dynamic analysis is required. A degree from an ABET accredited institution preferred. Typically, educational requirements are the equivalent of a Ph.D. with a minimum 14 years of experience; Masters with at least 18 years of experience, or a BS with at least 20 years of experience.
Required Skills:
- A minimum of 20 years experience in the application of finite element methods, empirical closed-form structural/dynamic analysis techniques, and the assessment of failure mechanisms.
- Familiarity with the finite element code, ANSYS.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Experience: |
Experience in the use of a Computer-aided design software package such as CREO, NX CAD, or Solidworks
