Industrial Electrician Apprentice

Cleveland-Cliffs is currently seeking Industrial Electrician Apprentices at our Coshocton, Ohio plant. Industrial Electrician Apprentices will go through a four year state certified training program and obtain an industrial electrician journeyman license after successfully completing the program.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Attend 600+ hours of classroom training along with on-the-job training during the four year program
• Maintain operating and service equipment using standard and specialized tools and equipment
• May work alone or assist in performing electrical repairs and preventive maintenance as required
• Be responsive to maintenance calls and troubleshoot electrical issues as they occur
• Provide assistance with operating functions as necessary
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Meet minimum assessment standards to be enrolled in a state certified industrial electrician apprenticeship program
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality
• Ability to read, understand, and follow operating instructions and procedure manuals
• Effective communication (verbal and written), math and measurement skills.
• Willingness and availability to work rotating shifts 24 hours a day, seven days a week including holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of relevant work experience
• Solid understanding of electrical principles
