Thomas College invites applications for the role of Admissions Counselor. This full-time, 12-month, exempt position plays a critical role in the recruitment of new undergraduate students. The Admissions Counselor will travel extensively throughout New England and other designated regions during peak recruitment seasons (September-November and March-May). Responsibilities include representing the College at high school visits and college fairs, building strong relationships with prospective students and families, giving dynamic presentations, and guiding applicants through the admissions process.

The position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a high level of professionalism. Flexibility is key, with evening and weekend hours required. This is a student-centered role offering the chance to share the Thomas College experience with prospective Terriers in a warm and enthusiastic manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Enthusiastic, positive, and student-centered mindset
  • Ability to travel extensively and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Slate CRM preferred
  • Comfortable using social media and messaging platforms
  • Must comply with FERPA regulations and internal admissions procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in admissions, student services, or a related field
  • Familiarity with higher education recruitment strategies and CRM systems
