SUMMARY

Under supervision, perform monthly account reconciliations, prepare variance analysis and assists with monthly closing and preparation of the monthly journal entries

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Performs monthly account reconciliations and prepares supporting documentation and detail.
  • Conducts variance analysis on general ledger accounts and identifies and resolves discrepancies.
  • Assists with monthly closing, including preparing and inputting journal entries and intercompany account reconciliations.
  • Assists with the preparation of the consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Assists with inventory cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, physical inventories, inventory reserve analysis and reconciles and resolves issues as necessary.
  • Assists with providing data for purposes of estimating and budgeting costs for research and product development, projecting costs of new processes, construction and tooling.
  • Prepares quarterly and year-end audit schedules and assists and responds to audit inquires.
  • Assists in responding to government reports and prepare supporting schedules.
  • Creates new vendors and performs vendor maintenance as needed.
  • Establishes cross-functional relationships while driving process efficiencies and conflict solutions.
  • Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.



JOB REQUIREMENTS



  • BS Degree in Accounting, with a minimum of 1-4 years' experience in general and cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must have entry-level knowledge of Accounting principles and procedures.
  • CPA candidate, "Big Four" experience and/or a mix of public and private experience a plus.
  • Must have excellent analytical and organizational skills and be detail-oriented.
  • Must have excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills
  • Must be proficient with Excel; experience with SAP or large ERP system preferred

  • Must have the ability to complete assignments within the timeframe specified by the Manager.
  • Must be flexible regarding working hours. Must be able to work evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS



  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to execute non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • This position requires repetitive hand/wrist activities.
