This is a 3rd Shift role, the work schedule is Sunday-Thursday, 9:30pm-6am Eastern Time SUMMARY Responsible for leading a team of Associates and directing the workflow through all aspects of the production process for Case Molding and Component Molding. Able to operate all machinery and provide training and direction to team members in proper and safe practices and procedures. Expected to be cross-trained and functional across all manufacturing departments. Will rotate across departments as required by business needs. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides leadership and guidance to production workers. Sets clear expectations, assigns tasks, and monitors team performance to meet production goals.
- Ensures the timely completion of manufacturing processes, including setup, operation, and changeovers. Addresses production issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Provides training and coaching to team members to enhance their skills and promote professional growth. Identifies opportunities for cross-training to increase team flexibility. Maintains accurate records of production data, including output, downtime, and quality metrics. Prepares reports as required by management.
- Identifies process improvement opportunities and works collaboratively with peers and management to implement enhancements that increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Enforces quality control standards to meet or exceed product specifications. Conducts regular quality checks and takes corrective actions as necessary.
- Monitors raw material levels, and coordinates with appropriate teams to ensure sufficient stock levels.
- Oversees work performance and provides feedback and data to supervisor/manager to support performance reviews. Coaches team members on an ongoing basis. Informs supervisor/manager of all concerns as they arise.
- Serves as a backup to team members in different departments or functions, ensuring seamless operations in their absence.
- Participates in cross-training activities to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to perform technical functions effectively such as start-ups, color or material changes, and performing small troubleshooting on machines.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must have knowledge of manufacturing processes; advanced knowledge preferred.
- Must be cross-trained and functional across all manufacturing departments.
- Demonstrated experience and willingness to cross-train in various technical and operational functions.
