The Marketing Events Planner is responsible for planning, executing, and managing marketing events, such as trade shows, customer events, golf tournaments, and webinars, to promote Printpack and enhance brand awareness. This Marketing Events Planner role combines event planning expertise with marketing strategy to create impactful experiences that drive business results.
Success in this position will be measured through improved event ROI, reduced operational costs, increased lead generation, and enhanced brand visibility. The role requires expertise in event marketing strategy, project management, vendor negotiations, and industry knowledge, supported by proficiency in relevant technology platforms.
By centralizing event management expertise, this position will free internal teams to focus on core business activities while ensuring more polished, professional, and effective event execution. The role serves as the cornerstone of Printpack's event marketing strategy, driving growth through strategic industry presence and optimal resource utilization.

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations or Hospitality 5+ years of B2B marketing experience Ability to travel 15% of the time

Mainresponsibilities include:
Event Strategy, Management & Planning
Researching and selecting growth-focused industry events, implementing best practices, and elevating our brand presence through professional execution. Develop comprehensive event strategies aligned with business objectives after identifying the company's requirements and expectations for each event. Streamline planning processes, reduce operational risks, and ensure consistent brand representation across all events. Liaise with vendors, exhibitors, and stakeholders during the event planning process to ensure everything is in order. Drive and execute integrated plans and logistics for multiple simultaneous events, from initial planning to onsite event management and post-event follow-up. Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver all event-related tasks, including event promotions, email campaigns, sales outreach, and giveaways. Work with a third-party event management company to manage booth properties, swag vendors, tradeshow management services, printed collateral, and requested shipments. Drive pre-event operations including event staffing, speaker management, agendas, on-site needs, and sales preparation. Ensure a high-quality, brand-aligned, and impactful presence at all external-facing events. Research opportunities for speaking engagements and recommend topics to cover.
Vendor Management
Source and negotiate with vendors (venues, catering, AV equipment, etc.) Manage relationships with event service providers to secure optimal pricing Evaluate and select appropriate venues
Project Management
Book venues, entertainers, photographers, and schedule speakers. Conduct final inspections on the day of the event to ensure everything adheres to the company's standards. Planned and managed event logistics and operations for trade shows, conferences, seminars, and corporate meetings to ensure deadlines were met. Maintain comprehensive metrics to measure ROI, lead generation, and overall event effectiveness, using these insights to continuously improve future events. Create detailed event timelines/schedules and coordinate internal teams/stakeholders
Marketing & Promotion
Collaborate with the marketing communications team on event promotion Develop event materials and collateral Manage event registration processes Create engaging content for event communications
Budget Management
Track expenses and maintain financial records Negotiate contracts and pricing Maximize ROI for event investments Report on budget performance
Post-Event Activities
Collect and analyze attendee feedback Prepare post-event reports and analytics Evaluate event success metrics Make recommendations for future improvements
