Salary Range or Starting Hourly Rate: $75,158 - $107,044 / year*

*This range is for base pay only, premium rates may be added.

Overview

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Craft Superintendent supporting TOS II, at Arnold AFB Tennessee. The Craft Superintendent will be working as a member of the construction team responsible for supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

The selected candidate for this requisition must be available to work any shift and shift determination will be made based on the priority of work at the time the selected candidate is cleared to report to work.

Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to oversee and direct the performance of field construction activities for assigned craft in conformance with plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates. This position requires a working knowledge and background of assigned work, the ability to appreciate and resolve complex situations. This role requires proficiency in directing general foremen and foremen within their craft as necessary in their roles to meet or exceed all project objectives.

Job Duties:

    Plan and direct the work activities within assigned construction activities in alignment with available engineering deliverables, tools, construction equipment, and materials, coordinate with other crafts, as necessary.
  • Approve or authorize the coordination of craft personnel, material, and equipment needed to meet execution and schedule deliverable.
  • Directly support project and construction management with planning and utilization of proper means and methods for all construction activities.
  • Analyze situations, identify and forecast pertinent problems and evaluate realistic options; and recommend/implement appropriate course of action.
  • Adhere to and support project Environmental, Health and Safety Policies.
  • Responsible for craft safety meetings, monitoring craft housekeeping and safety practices while ensuring the workplace meets AEDC, BHN, & OSHA Standards. Participates in investigations of accidents/incidents, completes accident reports and assures proactive steps are taken to prevent similar type accidents/incidents in the future.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Craft certification, training, and experience appropriate for assignment scope; directly related experience equal to twelve (12) years.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
  • Must have demonstrated leadership ability and good communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to plan, organize, lead, and monitor a wide variety of team efforts to their successful conclusion.
  • Must be able to anticipate change and to adjust promptly and effectively.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and the AEDC local area network.
  • Current U. S. Citizenship required.

  • Thorough knowledge of construction, engineering, procurement, and other project-related activities.
  • NCCER Certified
  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • Trenching & Excavation Competent Person
  • Knowledge of Crane and Rigging Best Practices
