OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANYFox TV Stations FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content. JOB DESCRIPTION

New Producer oversees the development and production of television content, from initial concept to final broadcast. This role requires a creative thinker with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Producer will work closely with the news team to ensure the delivery of high-quality programming that aligns with the station's goals and audience expectations. Work as part of a team to produce the very best newscasts in the market. Must be creative, energetic, with strong writing skills, well informed, well read and be willing to take chances and try new things.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and pitch story ideas, ensuring alignment with the station's brand and objectives.
  • Research, write and manage content for daily Newscasts, news specials and special events
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to news content.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding local and national news
  • Originate, develop and execute stories on a daily and long-term basis
  • Must also be able to provide social media and web content
  • Possess strong writing, production and social media skills
  • Possess a high level of creativity and drive
  • Approve scripts for broadcast and online content
  • Create graphics and supers
  • Assist in planning live and/or taped coverage either in the field or in house for various station needs.
  • Produce special and/or breaking coverage, sometimes outside the normal work schedule
  • Meet all scheduling and Broadcast deadlines
  • Regular attendance
  • Participation in routine editorial, staff, and other meetings
  • Communication with colleagues at other Fox O & O stations regarding daily content sharing and needs
  • Operation of iNews, BitCentral, and other basic newsroom and news gathering programs and/or equipment
  • Comply with all FTS computer requirements - myfoxpay, Workday, Navigator training, password protection, computer usage, etc.
  • Complies with all FTS and Station policies, including those regarding Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption, Insider Trading, etc.
  • Responsible for all equipment issued by Fox.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strong writing and storytelling skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to work under tight deadlines.
  • Attends and participates in all scheduled meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university required

OTHER: Minimum three year's equivalent experience preferred

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $63,000.00-67,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
