This is a 6-month contract position to cover an extended Leave of Absence.

Job Summary

This role helps to ensure that ZOLL employees have the competitive and comprehensive benefit coverage that meets their needs. The Benefits Specialist is a major player in the day-to-day administration of our company-wide benefits program, including: 401(k), health and welfare plans, and our award-winning wellness program.

Essential Functions

  • Partner with division HR and employees on questions regarding health plan provisions, benefit enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
  • Work with Fidelity Investments and division Payroll on 401(k) inquiries relating to enrollments, contributions, match funding amounts. Accountable for the annual true-up calculation.
  • Work with our benefits communication consultant, ensure that employee communications are accurate and engaging and that the benefits website is up to date.
  • Responsible for the tracking of monthly benefits-centric metrics and analytics.
  • Responsible for monthly benefits billing and reconciliation to vendors, payroll and across ZOLL divisions.
  • Deliver New Hire Orientation presentation as part of a rotation with other benefit partners.
  • Assist with annual Open Enrollment process, including systems set up, communications and presentations.
  • Counsel employees on leaves of absences process, including; interactive dialogues, enrollment, benefit premium payment collection, regular communication and general inquires on ZOLL and state leaves

Required/Preferred Education and Experience

  • Associate's Degree required and Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 2+ years of Benefits experience with a focus on benefits administration, including HRIS/benefits administration systems
  • Experience with ADA and Leave of Absence management
  • Prior experience with Workday HCM required, including Workday Community required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent customer service skills, including written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize appropriately to meet the needs in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong working knowledge of employee benefit plans and applicable laws
  • Strong sense of ethics and the ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion
  • Proficient Microsoft Office and Teams
