CTL Student Learning Assistance is a program available to UNM students enrolled in undergraduate classes. Our mission is to enrich the academic climate at UNM and create lifelong learners. In the Fall of 2025 CTL will hire several Math Learning Assistants to support Math 1215 and its supporting classes. To support these MLAs, we are also hoping to hire a student manager to support this new team and offer guidance to their fellow learning assistants. In order to do this student managers should have experience working with students and faculty and a drive to share that experience with their peers. Math Learning Assistant Student Manager Job Description: * Communicate with instructors to help their fellow MLAs provide excellent support for students. * Help students and their fellow tutors develop transferable skills as learning professionals. * Creates a welcoming and inclusive environment * Works with other tutors to plan/conduct learning sessions at the request of instructors * Understands and provides guidance in navigating what it means to be a learning assistant. * Participates in and plans and facilitates CTL training program/professional development opportunities CTL Math Learning Assistants Student Manager should be: * Driven * Compassionate * Empathetic * Intentional * Adaptable * Attentive to Detail * Encouraging * Strengths-based Minimum Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Application Instructions Only applications submitted through IMPORTANT: Within a few days after you apply in UNMJobs, our staff will email you a post-application questionnaire.
