Requirements

Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

H.S. Diploma or GED with an Associate Degree in Business Administration preferred. Two years of experience performing data trending and research knowledge; Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and within a group, with minimal daily supervision. Proven ability to think outside the box to perform desired results. Availability to be flexible with needs relating to early morning meetings, late day meetings or working additional hours as required.

* Strong PC skills with an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. * Experience working in Health Care business setting. * Strong Organizational and Analytical Skills required. * Experience with concepts and principles of Data Trending are essential. * Ability to work independently

Medical Billing Analyst

Salary $20.50/hr

Position Details

Administrative & Client/Customer Support



  • Handles confidential information with discretion and diplomacy.


Research and Analysis



  • Creates and maintains intermediate to moderately complex spreadsheets and databases and prepares reports, tables, charts.
  • Researches, monitors, and analyzes data to produce business insights and action recommendations relevant to proposed business development.
  • Adheres to and understands all Merakey Corporate and Business Operations policies, standards and procedures.
  • Proactively identifies, analyzes, and resolves issues to facilitate the efficient and timely billing of all claims out of Merakey's billing system.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels as well as external stakeholders.
  • Establishes productive, customer services-oriented relationships with all stakeholders involved within the billing process.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert relating to the revenue cycle with a direct relationship to all authorization and charge entry processes.
  • Serve as a member and active participant relating to all billing meetings and discussions, within the department, with programs and during meetings with Senior Management.
  • Facilitates and coordinates all processes relating to billing upfront rejections and denials.


    • Serve as primary liaison with Harrisburg staff regarding billing rejections.
    • Ensures workload balance is constantly maintained.


  • Principal accountability for monitoring and resolving all Business Operations related issues from Footprints (internal issues tracking system).
  • Daily review of reports to identify claims not billing out.
  • Provides analysis and problem resolution on claims within the billing system which requires further attention.
  • Must be able to work effectively with others and have good interpersonal skills.
  • Must be highly organized and work well under pressure. Must be able to work independently, as well as under supervision.
  • Must be willing to accept responsibility and to show good judgment, initiative, and resourcefulness along with working in a collaborative environment.
  • Handles conflict and problems in dealing with the customer constructively and appropriately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
