Position Identification:
Exempt
Reports to: Regional Controller
*Salary: $75K+ per year with profit sharing potential
*Salary is dependent upon accounting knowledge and experience

Position Summary:
The Senior Regional Accountant will support accurate and timely accounting and reporting for balance sheet and income statement accounts, provide accounting services including assisting in month end close, revenue recognition, payroll support, journal entry preparation, internal and external audit support, and account reconciliations while providing accounting support to all units in our region across multiple states. This position has room for desired growth over time.

Responsibilities & Procedures:
  • Manages and reconciles the balance of GL accounts - AR, AP, Other Receivables, etc.
  • Allocate expenses for the different entities and departments
  • Assist in internal, external, and insurance audits
  • Assist with preparing month and year-end close
  • Resolves any discrepancies or accounting issues
  • Assist with journal entries and account analysis
  • Assist with year-end tax workpapers, as needed
  • Provides assistance to ensure company financial policies are followed
  • Supports Central Plains Region unit's payroll and tax reporting
  • Willing to adapt and help cover as needed in a fast-paced environment
  • Trains and supports the region's operating units

Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • 5 years' experience, ideally in a construction environment w/project cost experience
  • Must be proficient with general ledger software and Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task on a daily basis
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and strong customer service skills
  • Willingness to travel for acquisitions and training from time to time

Working Conditions:
Physical surroundings: Office environment with typical office machines and exposure to noise and temperature.

Physical Effort:Extensive sitting, standing, bending, standing, walking are all expected activities. Ability to lift more than 25 lbs. on occasion.

Travel: Local and potentially out of state for purposes of company needs and onsite training.
